some photos from the wedding show

Hello all! We spent this last weekend at the Seattle Wedding Show, which was a great success and a lot of fun! I have a lot to post about this week, including a few new vendors we met at the show that we are really excited about. We’re going to be very busy this coming month, so keep an eye on the blog, as we’ll be sure to keep all of you up to date on our activities.

In the meantime, here are some photos of our booth from this last weekend. Enjoy!

Hey Whitney - I was wondering about the brown walls behind you in these photos. Are the walls part of a self-contained display unit? Did you bring the walls/board with you? I am looking at doing a gift show here in Vancouver and I remembered you guys had a great set up for this show you did. Just wondering what it is behind you that you used to display your stuff.

    Best,

    Erin

    Hi Erin -

We actually brought and assembled the walls ourselves. They’re foam core that we painted and then strapped to the existing trade show framework (the curtain poles they put up for each booth) with zip-ties. We ordered it in the sheet sizes we needed from a local sign shop and held the pieces together with heavy-duty velcro (on the back side of the wall).

We learned a couple of valuable lessons - one is be sure to use thicker foam core (we only used 1/4″ thick and it bowed really easily) so if we did it again we’d use 1/2″ thick. Also painting it caused it to bow a lot too, so might be better to have it printed in whatever color you need at a sign shop.

Great idea - thanks for explaining Whitney. I’ll have to look into this foam core schtuff :) So I guess it is strong enough for small shelving? I see you have attached some small shelves for displaying items. Perfect!

    Thanks again,

    Erin
