I have the tendency to perk up a bit when I hear of things that Lisa Ling is doing…for one, she’s a beautiful, talented, intelligent journalist. But the real reason I take notice of her doings is that we graduated from the same high school. It’s a quasi-celebrity “factoid” that’s always stuck with me, so I take note when I hear her name.

She got married recently, and her beautiful event was featured on the InStyle weddings website. Gorgeous dress, chic decor, etc… But my favorite part: their wedding invitation told guests: “If you’re cool, you’ll dress Asian chic.” LOVE IT! This is a prime example of using an invitation to set the tone!
