love the couch…

How great is this couch? The bride is pretty stunning too. Above photo from John and Joseph Photography - see entire wedding here.

The couch made me think of the invitations we created this last spring for Julie and Tony’s wedding…

oooh, i want to see more…

This photo was posted on the Snippet & Ink blog today - a sneak peak of a real wedding that she’ll be posting more photos of tomorrow. After seeing this, I can’t wait…oh, and I want that dress…

some love

logodesignlove.jpg

Today we were excited to see our humble little logo included on the LogoDesignLove blog in a post about 30 Logos from 30 Design Blogs. We’re included with such heavyweights as Veer, The Dieline, and Creative Latitude, as well as many others!

If you get the opportunity, be sure to peruse the blog. Created by David Airey, a designer currently located in Scotland, it’s a well-done look at logos and good design. I’ve spent far too much time reading through past articles already - and there’s still more to see!

gorgeous fonts

typography.jpg

images from typography.com

Typography is, of course, one of our passions. We love it when it’s done well, and we get itchy when we see poorly set type. Finding amazing fonts is a pleasure and many times hours are spent sifting through font foundries searching for the “perfect” font for a specific project. While we have our favorite sources to buy fonts, one we constantly go back to (even if just to drool) is Hoefler & Frere-Jones.

They have absolutely amazing fonts, perfectly crafted and works of art on their own. The fonts could sell themselves but the Typography.com website showcases their font library in a clean simple way that really showcases the fonts extremely well. Do yourself a favor and peruse the site even if you’re currently not in the market for new fonts.

design sponge seattle design guide

Design Sponge is, of course, a great resource for good design. I especially love the city guides, collections of the best in design in any particular city. Today Grace posted the Seattle design guide…finally! Compiled by Cassandra of coco+kelley, it’s just full of Seattle goodness…including some favorites (Collective, The Harvest Vine, Real Card Company, etc.) as well as quite a few spots we’ve never been but I’ve taken note of to go to.

Take a look if you’re planning a trip…or happen to live here…it’s well worth it!
