my ever growing wish list…

…has just gotten a little longer.
Everyone loves a little black dress, and I am no exception. It’s no secret that I’m a fan of Shabby Apple’s dresses and in a recent visit to their website I discovered they have some new (well, new to me anyways) LBDs! I love all three of these for their flexibility – they could be dressed up or down with the change of shoes and jewelry. Looks like my (ever expanding) wish list won’t be getting a break any time soon…

A friend posted the website of illustrator Gemma Correll on facebook and we were immediately smitten! I love these doggie greeting cards (below) – did anyone else notice how multicultural these dogs are? Love! Cards (and more goodies) available in her shop.

2009 real wedding :: katie and dave

Seeing as today is the shortest day of the year, and many of us are vaguely irritated with the dreary winter weather, I thought it would be an appropriate day to share this real wedding which took place at the Inn at Spanish Bay, in Pebble Beach (don’t you wish you were there right now?)

Katie was such a sweetheart to work with – her infectious smile lit up our entire studio every time she came in for an appointment. We had such a great time working with her on a classic, tailored wedding invitation suite including invitation, rsvp card, and website card letterpressed in chocolate ink on thick, luxurious cotton paper. Her chocolate envelopes with offset return address printing complemented the suite perfectly!
Additionally, we worked with Katie on a reception package including programs, menus, place cards, and a large seating chart, each item featuring Katie and Dave’s monogram. Everything came together beautifully!

Katie and Dave’s wedding photographer was so gracious to provide us with these stunning images from the wedding itself – they are too beautiful not to share! Many thanks to Scott Campbell Photography in Monterey – visit his website here.

Whenever we prepare to travel I am reminded of some of my favorite items from Knock Knock – organizational brilliance and irreverent fun!

No commentsinspiration found :: cookbooks

Anyone who knows me well knows that I love cookbooks – I love reading them, looking through their gorgeous photography and/or illustrations, cooking from them, and I love admiring them on my bookshelf. There are so many gorgeous books out there simply dripping with inspiration – an hour or two in the cooking aisles at the bookstore and I come away wanting to pull out the sketchbook as well as my All Clad.

3 commentsa visit home

We will be visiting my family next week in Sacramento and we look forward to enjoying some much needed R&R. I’ve been anticipating this trip for months and it’s almost here (yay!) While there, we plan to sneak away for some time in Napa at a few of our favorite wineries; a visit to Old Sacramento is a must (my favorite part of the city and also where Jonathan and I got married); and I’m hoping we can also get away to San Francisco for a day. I’ve been enjoying sfgirlbythebay’s coverage of playing a tourist in her own city for the SF Convention and Visitor’s Bureau website – her posts have me itching for a visit to the bay!
A must visit spot should we make it over there: The Curiosity Shoppe, where I’d love to pick up one of these 49 Mile Drive linoprints by Eric Rewitzer (above) – if we don’t happen to visit, at least I know I can order one of these from their online shop (my pick is the orange one!)

1 commentwarm woolen comfort
The ridiculously low temperatures today in Seattle have me dreaming of warm, woolen cozyness. We will be heading to Chicago in three weeks, where it’s sure to be even chillier, so I’ve been doing a little online browsing for cozy coats and booties. Hmm…it may be prudent to stock up before we leave…

photoshop magnet kit

A friend of ours recently sent us a link to these Photoshop magnets from Think Geek with the message “you need these!”
I think she may be right, especially after the many weeks I’ve recently spent in Photoshop designing websites for various clients and working on the giant re-design of our own site (soon to come)! This would be a great gift for any of your design geek friends out there.
