happy weekend!

Jonathan and I have been completely overwhelmed this week by the outpouring of compliments, kudos, and adulation from colleagues, friends, brides, and others regarding our site redesign! (They like us, they really like us!)
We can’t thank everyone enough for the kind words!
A big thank you is due to Christy at Junebug Weddings for the great blog post about our new Studio Collection – check it out here! And another thank you is definitely in line for Nole at Oh So Beautiful Paper for hosting our giveaway! Entries are still being accepted – WIN 100 letterpress wedding invitations from the Studio Collection! Head on over to her blog for details and to enter – entries will be accepted until 11:59 PM EST tonight.
We will be heading out of town for a couple of days – a much needed break after the excitement of this week! We’ll be back bright and early Monday morning – just in time for the winner of the giveaway to be announced. Stay tuned!
No commentsstudio collection giveaway!

One of the things we are most excited about with the launch of our website redesign is our new Studio Collection – five customizable, ready-to-order letterpress invitation suites.
We have partnered up with Nole of Oh So Beautiful Paper for a giveaway – we are giving away 100 letterpress invitations and rsvp cards (along with corresponding offset envelopes) from the Studio Collection to one very fortunate reader! Head on over to Oh So Beautiful Paper for details and to enter by Friday at 11:59 PM EST – winner will be announced Monday!

new website is live!

Jonathan and I are delighted to announce the (full) launch of our brand-spanking new website today! We launched partially in January, but now the site is live in full. Check it out!
Two of our biggest priorities while designing our new site were 1) that the site really show off our work and 2) that it be clean, simple, and incredibly user-friendly. The site has been a real labor of love and we’re so excited to share it with you!

One of my favorite sections is the Custom Portfolio, where you can view past custom projects. Several of our couples have shared their wedding photos with us, which really shows off how well invitations and day-of paper items can tie together to make an event seamless from beginning to end.
The FAQ section answers some commonly asked questions about our process, pricing, timeline, environmentally friendly resources, and working with us if you don’t live in the Seattle area.

The Press section features magazines, books, and websites that have written about us and our work – also in this section are several testimonials from happy clients.
Of special note is our new Studio Collection – ready to order, easy to customize letterpress invitations. More on those later this week!
We are so grateful to our amazing clients for continually inspiring us and to the other wedding professionals who have supported us and our work. I hope you enjoy perusing the new site!
No commentsdresses on the brain

I have dresses on the brain (which is not that uncommon for me). I headed over to modcloth.com to browse their dresses and came to an unfortunate discovery: every single dress that I was drawn to is SOLD OUT. This leads me to three conclusions:
1: I have very mainstream taste, apparently. (Bad.)
2: I’m not quick enough on the draw – totally missed out. (Bad.)
3: All the dresses I am drawn to are slightly longer in length (moderately close to or at knee length). The fact that these longer dresses are all sold out tells me I am not alone in this preference! Retailers, are you LISTENING? (Good!)

No commentsthink pink!

Last week we participated in Voila! – a new bridal show concept – at the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland. Each event space at the Woodmark was transformed into a particular season and was loaded with inspiration and ideas. We participated in the Spring-themed room along with Woodland Flowers, Make a Scene Party Rentals, Buchanan Chocolates, BBJ Linens, La Belle Reve, Azzura Photography, Butler Valet, Coat Check Complete, Bugsie Productions, My Flawless Tan, and AA Party Rentals.

To correspond with the bright and springlike color palette of pink, pink, and more pink, we created lovebird menus, placecard flags, favor tags, and table numbers. The addition of Sofia Blanc de Blanc cans of sparkling wine added a whimsical touch, while the custom truffle favors (created by Buchanan Chocolates) added a yummy pop of interest to the table.

Special thanks to BreeAnn of Pink Blossom Events and Marcia and Diana of Panache Events for planning the event and to Tania of Azzura Photography for providing these photos!
No commentsfelted wool pillows

Love these patterns, colors, and textures – these pillows from PLYtextiles’ etsy shop need to find a home on my couch, stat! (Made from recycled sweaters, they’re eco-chic too!)
