tweed please

I love this tweed bag from Etsy seller breagha – the color is perfect for fall and I can never resist an oversized bow.
2 commentswhere have you been all my life?

I am a huge fan of the summer dress – there is nothing easier than throwing on a fun and flirty dress, wedge sandals, and some lightweight jewelry on a hot summer day. I’d much rather spend my summer days in a comfy dress than in shorts or jeans! I’ve spent the past month searching desperately for some fun dresses and have been irritated more times than I can tell you, dear readers. I am SO sick of the minidresses and floor length maxi dresses! I don’t look good in either. I’d nearly given up hope of ever finding a flattering dress again when I discovered Shabby Apple. I am in love! I’ll take one of each, please!

1 commentit’s summer, finally (I think)

Memorial day weekend is the unofficial start of summer, and here in the Pacific Northwest, we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful weekend. Typically Memorial Day weekend is spent indoors, since it’s usually gray, dreary, or raining (or all three) but this year we received a special treat: 3 solid gorgeous days of sunshine and mid-seventies temperatures.
Who knows how long this sunshine will last (summer is so fickle here, we could have a cold and dreary June) but after this beautiful weekend, I’m geared up for a sunny and perfect summer. These wedges scream summer to me – the combo of hot pink and braided rope is so fun (and who wouldn’t want what looks like bougainvillea blooms on their toes?!?) So even if the Seattle weather doesn’t cooperate with my wishes, at least my feet will look sunny and summery.
2 commentsanother way to save the date

I was turned on to these lovelies by one of our brides and had to share. These calendar necklaces are a great way to commemorate your wedding day (or any other important day in your life) and are so much fun! They come in your choice of metal (rose gold, yellow gold, white gold, or silver) in your choice of finish (shiny or matte) with a sapphire in your choice of color marking your special date. There are so many customization possibilities!
2 commentsstudio and home office wish list
It has been a busy week preparing for the move into the new studio – choosing a paint color, finalizing furniture, etc. I can’t wait to share photos! We will be starting the move tonight and so I’ll be sure to snap some “in progress” photos as we work.
Today, though, I had to tear myself away from the studio plans to get some good old-fashioned bookkeeping and office work done. Usually this devolves into me looking online at office and organizational supplies rather than doing actual work. Here are some of the fun things I found that are now on my wish list. Not only are we currently moving into a new studio, but we’re also undertaking a massive home office overhaul, so I think some of these accessories (some functional, some frivolous) are must-haves for the reorganization!

1 commentpantone eyewear

I am long overdue for some new glasses – to be perfectly honest, my last eye appointment was so long ago I’m kind of embarrassed to go back to the same doctor. But in any case, I’m really excited to do some shopping for some new specs! So of course, these caught my eye – Pantone Universe eyewear. The arms are interchangeable depending on your mood, wardrobe, maybe even the design project you’re working on that day…

business card birdies

This bird bath dish would make a lovely business card holder, no? I’m thinking I might order it for our studio…
1 commentfresh prints for spring

I love these floral print scarves from Forever 21 – each is under $10! I think I might have to get the yellow one…
