weddings in woodinville

In January, we participated in Weddings in Woodinville, a new bridal show that showcased 6 of Woodinville’s finest venues and over 60 bridal vendors. Guests were transported between venues via luxury transportation and were able to enjoy wine tasting and delicious small bites at each location.

We were delighted to be invited to show at DeLille Cellars along with a stellar group of vendors including Event Success, Rented Elegance and Design, Joann Arruda, Creme de la Creme Cakes, City Catering, La Votre Bridal Couture, and others!

Jacky Grotle of Event Success invited us to collaborate with her and others on a banquet table – we created custom cut menus, place cards, favor tags, and a table number (a custom cut wine label) for the event table set up at DeLille. Jacky put together beautiful favors (wine keys and delicious salted caramels) accented by delicate orchid blooms.

More information about Weddings in Woodinville (and the dates for the 2011 event) can be found at All photos provided by Joann Arruda (thanks Joann!)

2009 real wedding :: sacha and will

We had the immense pleasure last year of working with Sacha and Will on their save the dates, invitations, and day-of items for their September 2009 wedding. Sacha has been one of the dearest brides we’ve worked with – she came to us with enthusiasm (which we LOVE) and a clear vision for her big day. After our first in-person meeting, when she and Will stood up to leave, she immediately hugged both Jonathan and I, exclaiming “oh, come on! I’m a hugger!” – and I knew we were going to have a blast working together!

I’ve shared their save the dates and invitations on the blog in the past – but when their photographer, Kelly Chandler, shared these gorgeous wedding day photos, I knew I had to pass them along!

Their ceremony was held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and then the festivities continued by the waterfront at the Edgewater.

Sacha compiled a rock-star team of professionals to help her execute her vision of the perfect day: Janel Schlitt with Occasions Weddings and Events coordinated the event, Athina Athan of Athena Flora created stunning floral designs, and Bonnie from New Renaissance Cakes created their cake.

I LOVE that the motif and monogram we created for their invitations is recreated so perfectly in frosting!

Congratulations again, Sacha and Will! Hugs!

pink and gray

One of my favorite parts of the Seattle Wedding Show this year was collaborating with Woodland Flowers on paper products for their tabletop display in their booth. This year their booth was draped in gorgeous shades of gray, creating a rich ombre backdrop. The floral was spectacular shades of pinks with touches of natural grays. We created menus, placecards, and a table number for their display in shades of gray and bright white, accented by Swarovski crystals.

Woodland Flowers shared the booth with La Votre Bridal Couture (formerly The Bridal Garden) and the dresses and flowers complemented each other perfectly.

The booth was beautifully captured by Tania from Azzura Photography – head over to their blog for highlights from the show, including more booth photos and a fashion show recap!

2009 real wedding :: caitlin and dan

I always love sharing real weddings with you all – and this wedding is no exception! We had a great time working with Caitlin and her fabulous coordinator, Shannon Lassen of Sublime Events. Caitlin had a clear vision for her summer wedding: modern yellow and gray, with botanical imagery. We created these clean and simple invitations featuring white modern type and dandelions on a rich gray background. The bright yellow rsvp envelopes added a surprising pop of color when guests opened their invitations.

Seattle photographer Laurel McConnell captured the wedding and celebration at Olympic Sculpture Park and when she sent these photos over I was immediately dreaming of blue skies, bright summer flowers, and warm Seattle weather.

One of the items we created was a booklet-style program, which allowed space to provide explanations of the Jewish traditions included in Caitlin and Dan’s ceremony. Caitlin had the brilliant idea to also include a crossword puzzle on the back of their programs so that guests could have something to do while waiting for festivities to begin – they were a hit!

Thank you so much Laurel, for sharing these gorgeous photos with us and our readers!

2009 real wedding :: katie and dave

Seeing as today is the shortest day of the year, and many of us are vaguely irritated with the dreary winter weather, I thought it would be an appropriate day to share this real wedding which took place at the Inn at Spanish Bay, in Pebble Beach (don’t you wish you were there right now?)

Katie was such a sweetheart to work with – her infectious smile lit up our entire studio every time she came in for an appointment. We had such a great time working with her on a classic, tailored wedding invitation suite including invitation, rsvp card, and website card letterpressed in chocolate ink on thick, luxurious cotton paper.Her chocolate envelopes with offset return address printing complemented the suite perfectly!

Additionally, we worked with Katie on a reception package including programs, menus, place cards, and a large seating chart, each item featuring Katie and Dave’s monogram. Everything came together beautifully!

Katie and Dave’s wedding photographer was so gracious to provide us with these stunning images from the wedding itself – they are too beautiful not to share! Many thanks to Scott Campbell Photography in Monterey – visit his website here.

2009 real wedding :: missy and garrett {part 2}

Yesterday we shared the save the dates and invitations from Missy and Garrett’s late summer wedding – now, here are some of the details from their wedding day. First of all, check out the amazing weather – sunny, warm, and gorgeous blue sky (which is nothing to sneeze at here in the Pacific Northwest).

The sunny details were put together by Missy’s amazing team of professionals: wedding coordination was by Keri Cooper from Bliss Events, styling and floral design were by Collected Design. We worked closely with Missy to create programs, menus, escort cards, table numbers, and signage for the event. One of my favorite details from the day is the garden cart where they displayed the escort cards in grass. Beautiful!

Thank you so much to Abbi from Simply Photography for sharing these beautiful images from the wedding day and thank you to Missy and Garrett for letting us be a part of your planning process!

2009 real wedding :: missy and garrett {part 1}

One of our favorite couples we’ve had the privilege of working with this year are the lovely Missy and Garrett, who were married in September on a gorgeous Seattle day at the bride’s family’s home. I shared a sneak peak of their invitations last spring – here are more details from their colorful invitation suite.

Missy and Garrett chose offset printing for their invitations and save the date, which was a perfect option as it allowed us to use large areas of color and reversed text and images. We love their color choices (especially the pop of aqua in the envelopes, which brightens up the gray and yellow in the printed pieces).

Missy and Garrett’s wedding photographer, Abbi from Simply Photography, was kind enough to share some STUNNING details from their wedding day – stay tuned tomorrow for some of the details from their outdoor ceremony and reception!
