optimism vs. pessimism

Unfortunately, these posters (by Because Studio) are sold out (WHY did I not discover these sooner?) but I love them and am crossing my fingers for a reprint. They would work well in our office – glass half full poster over my work area, glass half empty poster over Jonathan’s work area, since that’s how we each look at the world. Although, Jonathan did have an alternate idea: frame the two back to back, and just flip it around depending on your mood.

If they do reprint, we’ll a) order immediately and b) decide the best way to display. In any case. the colors are PERFECT for our home office.

I love everything about this photo. I love the poster (only $20 from etsy seller Roll and Tumble Press!), I love the vintage cameras, I love the books – this is something I’d like to do in our home. We have a vintage polaroid camera and it’s been difficult to decide how best to display it – but I think I just may have to steal this styling idea.

If you get a moment, check out Roll and Tumble’s etsy shop – their letterpress posters are delightful! I think the Kissing Booth poster (below) would be great at a wedding reception – love it!

for the map nerds

Quite a few of our clients are world travelers (some are self-proclaimed map nerds) – it’s fun to live vicariously through them (one of these days we will make our way to europe…) We enjoy using maps and travel motifs in wedding design, but we also really love seeing these in everyday items. I have had maps on the brain this week and stumbled upon these beautiful household items by etsy seller Bombus – LOVE!
