2009 real wedding :: christina and mike

We first met Christina and Mike in January 2009 at the Seattle Wedding Show. They were planning an elegant East Coast wedding for the fall, and immediately fell for the “two trees” custom invitation suite on display that we created for Lindsey and Phillip in 2008. We worked closely with Christina to create an invitation suite that reflected their own personal style using that imagery.

Using a color palette of autumn yellow and deep gray with bursts of metallic silver, we created an offset invitation suite that consisted of a panel-style invitation, rsvp cards, directions cards, and rehearsal dinner invitations. For their wedding day, we created programs, table cards (each named after a different variety of tree), escort cards, and favor tags. The trees motif carried throughout the wedding day, from a reading of “Two Trees” by Janet Miles at the ceremony to the “Tree in a Box” favors given out at the reception. Christina and Mike were kind enough to share these photos from their event, courtesy of Paired Images Photography.

2009 real wedding :: sonya and michael
Let’s kick the week off with an absolute stunner!

Sonya and Michael planned a chic destination wedding in Maui and worked with us to create save the dates, invitations, and reception items. Their invitation suite is offset printed on opal metallic paper in green and chocolate brown, with a surprising pop of pink textured paper lining the envelopes.

The wedding itself was beautifully coordinated by Katy Griffiths of Vows Wedding and Event Planning and these gorgeous photos were taken by Sandra Coan (thank you Sandra, for sharing!).

We had the immense pleasure last year of working with Sacha and Will on their save the dates, invitations, and day-of items for their September 2009 wedding. Sacha has been one of the dearest brides we’ve worked with – she came to us with enthusiasm (which we LOVE) and a clear vision for her big day. After our first in-person meeting, when she and Will stood up to leave, she immediately hugged both Jonathan and I, exclaiming “oh, come on! I’m a hugger!” – and I knew we were going to have a blast working together!

I’ve shared their save the dates and invitations on the blog in the past – but when their photographer, Kelly Chandler, shared these gorgeous wedding day photos, I knew I had to pass them along!

Their ceremony was held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and then the festivities continued by the waterfront at the Edgewater.

Sacha compiled a rock-star team of professionals to help her execute her vision of the perfect day: Janel Schlitt with Occasions Weddings and Events coordinated the event, Athina Athan of Athena Flora created stunning floral designs, and Bonnie from New Renaissance Cakes created their cake.

I LOVE that the motif and monogram we created for their invitations is recreated so perfectly in frosting!
Congratulations again, Sacha and Will! Hugs!

Yesterday we shared the save the dates and invitations from Missy and Garrett’s late summer wedding – now, here are some of the details from their wedding day. First of all, check out the amazing weather – sunny, warm, and gorgeous blue sky (which is nothing to sneeze at here in the Pacific Northwest).

The sunny details were put together by Missy’s amazing team of professionals: wedding coordination was by Keri Cooper from Bliss Events, styling and floral design were by Collected Design. We worked closely with Missy to create programs, menus, escort cards, table numbers, and signage for the event. One of my favorite details from the day is the garden cart where they displayed the escort cards in grass. Beautiful!

Thank you so much to Abbi from Simply Photography for sharing these beautiful images from the wedding day and thank you to Missy and Garrett for letting us be a part of your planning process!

One of our favorite couples we’ve had the privilege of working with this year are the lovely Missy and Garrett, who were married in September on a gorgeous Seattle day at the bride’s family’s home. I shared a sneak peak of their invitations last spring – here are more details from their colorful invitation suite.

Missy and Garrett chose offset printing for their invitations and save the date, which was a perfect option as it allowed us to use large areas of color and reversed text and images. We love their color choices (especially the pop of aqua in the envelopes, which brightens up the gray and yellow in the printed pieces).

Missy and Garrett’s wedding photographer, Abbi from Simply Photography, was kind enough to share some STUNNING details from their wedding day – stay tuned tomorrow for some of the details from their outdoor ceremony and reception!

1 commentyellow & gray invitation :: sneak peek

We wanted to share a quick sneak peek at a job we delivered a couple weeks ago. Since the wedding hasn’t happened yet, we can’t show too much.
Needless to say, it’s another really fun project we got to work on and are excited to see the results. The gray and yellow color scheme is bright and fresh. Our clients were able to keep the set budget-friendly by using only one ink and adding pops of color with bright yellow envelopes.
We’ll be sure to show more detail after their event.

I have been so excited to share this beautiful event! Katie and Andrew came to us with some beautiful and stylish ideas and we had so much fun turning their ideas into reality!

One of their biggest needs was to make sure their guests – both locals and out-of-towners – could get around easily. Most guests needed to be able to navigate ferry schedules as well as driving directions, so the invitation turned into a “travel packet” of sorts – all necessary information was included in a pocket style invite that was then tucked in a handy, organized folio pocket.

Katie and Andrew worked with us on their day-of items as well, including unique accordion-style programs, table numbers, and escort cards. The escort cards were black with white print, and were arranged on a bed of white hydrangeas – stunning!

The wedding and related events were beautifully styled by Stacy Kvam of SK Wedding and Event Design, who was right there with Katie and Andrew through every step of their planning. All of these gorgeous photos were shot by Kim and Adam Bamberg of La Vie Photography (thank you Kim, for sharing these photos with us!)
